Sending on behalf of Andrew Duffell from Research Park at Florida Atlantic University...

Dear Florida Atlantic colleagues,

Please join me in congratulating President Stacy Volnick as the Research Park at Florida Atlantic’s 2024 Distinguished Leader. The award will be presented on September 12 at our Awards & Celebration of Entrepreneurship, held in the Owls Perch on campus.

Dr. Volnick has exemplified the need and importance of aligning the work of the Research Park to that of the University and of highlighting the work of the Park within the University community, for mutual benefit. President Volnick was elected to chair the Research Park’s governing body earlier this year, the first time the University President has accepted such a role since its Dr. Popovich in the 1980s. With President Volnick’s leadership we have encouraged the hiring of more student interns in the Research Park and welcomed new disruptive technologies that will enhance the work being done in healthcare, for example. Her work has been tireless over many years, so this recognition is well-deserved and heartfelt.

I am also very pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Cox, Director of the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship will accept the Distinguished Researcher Award for his work with the field of entrepreneurship. Dr. Cox’s work with and for the companies and entrepreneurs who have succeeded through Tech Runway and Global Ventures is immeasurable.

I am pleased to share this exclusive discount with Florida Atlantic colleagues as our primary partner. Feel free to share this exclusive invitation with others within FAU.

I hope that you will join us on September 12.

Best wishes,

Andrew S. Duffell, MBA

President

Research Park at Florida Atlantic University®
